The question is the market
Questions such as “what are peptides,” “what do peptides do” and “peptides benefits” total about 305,000 monthly US searches, up 385%.

Outside drug and brand names, the biggest peptide search is a question. One word spans skin care, nutrition, prescription medicines and unapproved injections. What do people mean when they ask?
Research dated November 3, 2026. Google US: average monthly searches October 2025–September 2026, compared with October 2024–September 2025 unless stated. Search interest does not establish purchase intent, safety or efficacy.

What it might mean. The umbrella word may confuse because it covers different products. Brands that name the type and answer questions plainly may earn trust before a sale. This is a hypothesis, not a measured cause.
Worth checking. Ask which product people picture when they hear “peptide.” Compare questions in your reviews, site search and customer service, and test whether a plain explanation improves understanding.
One shift, in brief
Safety and legality questions total about 70,000 searches a month, up 410%. “Peptides vs steroids” is up 260%, while “peptides for women” is up 449%.
Peptides reached public attention through several routes: prescription GLP-1 medicines, skin care, and discussion of injectable “research” peptides. These products have different uses and evidence. Interest in one does not establish demand for another.
What it might mean. Education may be part of the product experience. People may need the category explained before they can evaluate a specific offer.
Worth checking. Separate curiosity from purchase intent and distinguish product types in research. Evaluate any health or formulation claims independently.
