Five shifts

Specific people.
Specific purposes.

01

Strength grows older

Strength training: -4% overall; +43% for seniors and +134% for perimenopause.

What it might mean. Midlife and older audiences may offer a clearer positioning direction than generic strength messaging.

Worth checking. Validate demand, accessibility and the product options already serving each audience.

02

Calm changes its formats

Yoga: -23%. Tai chi and qigong: +29%. Self-care yoga: +68%.

What it might mean. The desired outcome may endure while the format changes. Calm is a positioning hypothesis to test.

Worth checking. Ask which outcomes people seek and assess any health claims independently.

03

Fitness becomes a social life

Run clubs: +36%. Studios and classes: +24%. Personal trainer near me: +68%.

What it might mean. Shared routines and local communities may be valuable parts of a fitness offer.

Worth checking. Test beginner-friendly groups, local partnerships and repeat attendance.

04

Creatine and protein go personal

Creatine: 1.1M monthly searches, +16%. Protein: 808K, +30%.

What it might mean. Audience-specific questions suggest positioning opportunities; they do not establish supplement benefits.

Worth checking. Check audience demand, one-month search jumps and the evidence behind any proposed claims.

05

The device gap

Smart rings: +41% in search; vibration plates: +73%. Neither outperforms the sampled Amazon category comparison.

What it might mean. Interest may run ahead of purchase. Price, explanation and trust are possibilities to investigate.

Worth checking. Compare brand-site sales, purchase barriers and seasonal buying before inferring weak demand.

Method & limitations

How we read the market

Vocabulary is built across social, search and sales. The supplied research covers TikTok, Reddit, YouTube and Pinterest; Google and Amazon search; and Amazon US via Keepa and TikTok Shop. Social and sales readings were collected October 23–24, 2026. Google search comparisons use the periods above. Close variants count once; one-month jumps indicate direction only.

Sales comparisons describe sampled Amazon listings against their own 90-day pace relative to the sampled category. They do not represent total market sales. Social examples show presence; growth requires two comparable dated readings. Source evidence has not been independently revalidated for this edition.

What it might mean. Agreement across streams can strengthen a hypothesis. Each stream has coverage limits.

Worth checking. Verify source evidence, the October 31 follow-up and demand with your audience before committing to a brief.
